About Me... DR. Tarver
Dear Families:
I am Dr. Kendyl Sumbry Tarver, your child’s second grade teacher. We have a very busy and exciting year in store for us! I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and very briefly outline my goals for your child this year. I am a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I received a Masters Degree in Education from the University of West Alabama, a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Northcentral University, and a Doctorate Degree in Curriculum and Teaching. This is my 8th year teaching, with 4 years here at Ridgecrest Elementary School. I am very fortunate to be among such a professional faculty family at Ridgecrest Elementary School.
I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience in the classroom.
My philosophy is that every child can learn and demonstrate growth. In fact, I will do everything I can to make sure that your child has a positive and successful year. I ask that all of my students work hard and contribute to the classroom goals. I have four basic goals for this year. All of my students will:
If you have any questions during the school year, please do not hesitate to contact me at school. My contact is (334) 298-3004 and [email protected].
Sincerely,
Dr. Kendyl Sumbry Tarver
